God is our refuge and strength, a very present help in trouble. Therefore we will not fear, though the earth should change, and though the mountains slip into the heart of the sea. Psalm 46:1-2. The current economic situation in the world has many people fearing the future and playing the “what if” game:

What is eating you today? Are your problems weighing heavy on your heart? Know, first, then, that you are loved.You may have been through the storm, but look at yourself, you’re still standing, you’re still here. If it doesn’t kill you… it will make you stronger. So this is what I asked God…

An Angel says, “Never borrow from the future, or don’t do now what is meant for the future. If you worry about what may happen tomorrow and it doesn’t happen, you have worried in vain. Again even if what you are worrying about does happen, you have to worry twice”.

As I dug through the mail archives, I found this and thought I would share with you all. There are two days in every week about which we should not worry, two days which should be kept free from fear and apprehension. One of these days is Yesterday with all its mistakes and cares, its faults and blunders, its aches and pains. Yesterday has passed forever beyond our control.

Have you ever been just sitting there and all of a sudden you feel like doing something nice for someone you care for? THAT’S GOD talking to you through the Holy Spirit. Have you ever been down and out and nobody seems to be around for you to talk to? THAT’S GOD wanting you to talk to Him.

Therefore I say to you, whatever things you ask when you pray, believe that you have received them, and you will have them. Do not undermine your worth by comparing yourself with others. It is because we are different that each of us is special. Do not set your goals by what other people deem important. Only you know what is best for you.

Obviously the call of God is on those He has called to be Children. Those He has brought into the knowledge of the things of the Kingdom. Many of us come from a place where we have been living in the world separated from God and some of us are in a place where we have made a name for ourselves and we are living comfortable lives

It is not easy to discern a genuine need and a none genuine one, I give no solution to that other than keep praying and let the Holy Spirit guide your actions. Compassion for public show is not compassion. That is why I started out this article with a description of what compassion is

We are well aware because we have heard it over and over again. That for with God nothing shall be impossible. See, God is not man that He is limited in the things that He can do. If He so created the entire universe and all that is within it, what then can’t God do?

I happened to have an interesting conversation this afternoon with a respected member of my family. Topic? It was about acceptable levels of gratitude and courtesy and how they are perceived in the sight of the person giving it and the how it is viewed by the person receiving it.
