Our Refuge and Strength in Troubled Times

God is our refuge and strength, a very present help in trouble. Therefore we will not fear, though the earth should change, and though the mountains slip into the heart of the sea. Psalm 46:1-2. The current economic situation in the world has many people fearing the future and playing the “what if” game:

A few Questions for God

What is eating you today? Are your problems weighing heavy on your heart? Know, first, then, that you are loved. You may have been through the storm, but look at yourself, you’re still standing, you’re still here. If it doesn’t kill you… it will make you stronger. So this is what I asked God…

We are well aware because we have heard it over and over again. That for with God nothing shall be impossible. See, God is not man that He is limited in the things that He can do. If He so created the entire universe and all that is within it, what then can’t God do?

I happened to have an interesting conversation this afternoon with a respected member of my family. Topic? It was about acceptable levels of gratitude and courtesy and how they are perceived in the sight of the person giving it and the how it is viewed by the person receiving it.
